There will be notices around the club (and placed on vehicle windscreens) abou trestricted parking from the evening of Wednesday 13thFebruary to enable our volunteers to set up for the Regatta on the bitumen area adjacent to the clubhouse from early Thursday morning 14thFebruary. If in any doubt please don't leave your car along the parks along the Boardwalk to the launching ramp end of the bitumen car park from at least Wednesday night onwards, especially if you are going away for an extended period. We reserve the right to move cars that don't comply with these requested restrictions.
********************************************************* KANGAROO BAY DRIVE ACCESS TO BYC
Council have advised that due to the changes associated with property ownership of land around this access point and the proximity of the temporarily relocated multi use foreshore path, the use of this access point for vehicles on a permanent basis will be restricted. Council has delayed formalising the relocated foreshore path, into an all-weather surface around the development site, expecting the new development to commence, however as the time frame for commencement of the new development is unknown the amenity of the foreshore path will be rectified this week. Providing a sealed surface for the path will only satisfy one concern, therefore Council will be requiring the access gate to be closed, unless access is required for a special occasion or event.
BYC has arranged the access operation and use our lock on the gate. It should be noted that all vehicular access through this access point will be restricted during the construction period of the new development, after which the access point will eventually become the principle access point to the BYC. Restricting vehicle access now may increase the inconvenience to BYC members over an extended period but must be undertaken for public safety. BYC has been assured that Council will work with BYC to achieve maximum convenience to all parties.
BYC access will only be on a limited basis i.e. open Wednesday (Sailing Season) from 12noon and locked early the next morning. The access will be open throughout events such as Crown Series, Saturday sailing and Sunday Sessions.

Bollard 38 Motorsailer ‘Moonshadow’
Comfortable pilothouse motorsailer in outstanding condition with huge inventory including genset, dinghy davits with electric winches, autopilot etc. Cruising is a pleasure when you can helm from inside the pilothouse and relax in a saloon with panoramic views all around. “Moonshadow” was owned from near-new by a professional engineer who kept her in great order. In 2013 she had an extensive refit, which included sandblasting the hull. This very desirable motorsailer will not last long. We highly recommend inspection NOW!
There is a Crown Regatta briefing for all volunteers (not just racing) at upstairs at BYC onTuesday 12th of Februaryat 6.00pm. Not mandatory in any way, but it is a good way to find out how you could help out over the weekend. If you cannot attend this session but still wish to register as a volunteer please contact our Sailing Co-ordinator Ross Daley on 6244 1353 or firstname.lastname@example.org
2019 Crown Series entries can be submitted by accessing the Topyacht Entry System on the BYC website. It would be very much appreciated if entries can be submitted as soon as practicably possible to help with the regatta preparation. Last chance to get into the draw for our "Early Bird Prize"
