Marine Diesel Workshop
Have you ever worried about what happens if your engine won’t start? You could sail off your anchorage, get back to the marina and push and shove your boat back in. You might get someone to tow you, or you could fix it.
There’s an old saying that there are only two things you can do with a sick diesel. Bleed the fuel system or chuck it out!
This workshop is a start. Wednesday evening begins with a bit of diesel theory in the class room, followed by a hands on session on a boat on Saturday. Its very much hands on so we’ll be capping this class so that everyone will get a chance to have a play with a marine diesel. We’ll go through changing a fuel filter and show you a few tricks on how to bleed one and show you a few other things that you should be checking regularly.
