MARINA REDEVELOPEMENT

The BYC Marina Redevelopment is slowly getting closer to commencing. We now have an approved Development Application in place and are intending to lodge for Building Approval in October.

We are in the final stages of sorting our new lease agreements with Crown Services for both land and seabed leases. This has proven to be a long and drawn out process to insure we get the best opportunity for the club with a minimal annual fee. Once these are in place, we will be able to finalise our funding for the project.

We have just gone to Tender for the construction of the Dinghy Shed and are hoping to commence construction before Christmas.

Final negotiations are in place with the contractor to construct the Marina with a anticipated commencement in March 2020. We are also in the process of acquiring the required moorings to allow for the extension.

Finally, the end is in sight on this major redevelopment for the club and our members, this will set us up for our long-term future.

There are currently 47 new berths available ranging from 20m down to 8m.
